Nausea-Reducing
Nausea-reducing refers to substances or treatments that reduce nausea. Some of these include:
• Ginger – Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce nausea and vomiting. It can be taken in many forms, including ginger tea, ginger supplements, or even fresh ginger added to food.
• Peppermint – Peppermint has a calming effect on the stomach and may help reduce nausea. It can be consumed as peppermint tea, peppermint oil capsules, or as a fresh herb added to food.
• Acupressure – Pressure applied to specific points on the body, such as the wrist, can help alleviate nausea. This is known as acupressure and can be self-administered or done by a trained practitioner.
• Vitamin B6 – Vitamin B6 has been found to be effective in reducing nausea associated with pregnancy and chemotherapy. It can be taken as a supplement or found in foods such as bananas, chicken, and fish.
• Medications – Over-the-counter and prescription medications such as antiemetics, antihistamines, and proton pump inhibitors can also be used to reduce nausea, but should only be taken under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
