The third lumbar vertebra (L3) is positioned in the middle of the lumbar vertebrae in the lower back. Due to it’s location, it’s one of the most common sites of herniated discs and other spinal conditions. • Meridians: kidney meridian (yin), bladder meridian (yang) • Connections: bladder, uterus, prostate, kidney, large intestine, sex organs, knees • Possible problems: problems during pregnancy, knee, menstrual troubles such as painful or irregular periods, miscarriages, bladder pain, knee ache (often together with the bladder), infertility, impotence, change of life symptoms, bed wetting
